Route 1, Water Main Installation in Groton
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a water main installation project will be performed on Route 1 between Noank-Ledyard Road and Judson Avenue in Groton. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, April 9, 2012 through Friday, May 18, 2012.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
