Bridge Project on Route 40 (east and west) over Amtrak Railroad in North Haven

The State Department of Transportation announced today that a Bridge Maintenance project will be performed on Route 40 (east & west) over Amtrak Railroad in North Haven. This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 10, 2009 and continue through Friday, August 28, 2009.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
