Bridge Inspection - Route 229 over I-84 (east & west) in Southington
The State Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge inspection will be performed on the Route 229 Bridge over I-84 (east & west) in Southington. This project is scheduled to take place on Wednesday July 15, 2009 and Thursday, July 16, 2009.
There will be no lane closures on I-84 or Route 229 during this work, however proper signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone as shoulder closures are required on I-84 (east & west) during the inspection of the bridge substructure. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Wednesday and Thursday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
