NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a roadway sweeping project will be performed on I-91 (northbound & southbound) from exit 24 (Rte. 99) to exit 33 (Jennings Road). This project is scheduled to begin on or about Sunday, April 22, 2007 and continue through Thursday, April 26, 2007.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is
7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday – Thursday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other foreseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
