Road Restrictions on Stratford Ave, Route 130
from Water Street to Kossuth Street in Bridgeport
Effective May 21, 2007 at 6:00 a.m.
BRIDGEPORT, CT – The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that Stratford Avenue, between Water Street and Kossuth Street will be affected by roadway construction beginning Monday morning, May 21, 2007. Work will include the rehabilitation of Bridge 02475, Route 130 over the Pequonnock River. Stage 1 Construction will reduce through lanes of traffic on Route 130, Stratford Ave. to one lane in each direction on the north side of the Lift Span Bridge. Protective barrier, traffic drums and cones will be utilized to guide traffic through the work area. Additionally, alternating one-way traffic operations may occur during the following periods: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
This work is being performed by The Hartland Building and Restoration Co. of East Granby, Connecticut at a cost of $ 3,346,855.80. The scheduled completion date is November, 2007.
Please use caution when traveling through the construction work zone and allow for extra travel time. Please travel at the posted speed limit to ensure the safety of both motorists and work zone crew members.
