About the CT Artist Directory
Connecticut Artist Directory is a free online directory for our state’s creative artists. We are partnering with the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) to provide a directory that makes it easier to find Connecticut artists. It gives you direct access to artist specific filtered search of CreativeGround, NEFA’s online directory for all of New England.

How to Use the Directory
The CT Artist Directory makes it easy to find artists who can teach in your classroom, perform at your event, provide a workshop, participate in a public art project, and so much more. Browse or search it by choosing the filters that matter to you.
You can use the contact information they provide on their website or by selecting Contact the Artist. When you click on Contact the Artist, you will be rerouted to the CreativeGround website where you can select “Contact this Profile.” An email form will appear where you can directly email the artist with your request.
Start your search using one or two filters to make sure you include a large number of candidates. You can always choose more filters to narrow your search.
FYI, the CT Artist Directory automatically shows you all active profiles for CT’s creative sector. It pulls them from CreativeGround using these default filters:
- Institution/Business Type
- Profiles that Create/Produce (e.g. artists/creatives): Artist/Creative (individual), Performing Group
- Location
- State: Connecticut
- Legal Status
- Nonprofit: Unincorporated
- Commercial/For-profit: Cooperative, Corporation, Partnership, Sole Proprietorship
Profiles are self-managed. Begin by creating a user account in CreativeGround. Provide information for as many sections as possible so directory users can find you more easily. The Connecticut Artist Directory pulls in all active profiles for people and organizations that note they are based in Connecticut.
CreativeGround encourages individuals and organizations to maintain an up-to-date profile with robust content. This boosts your profile score and helps your profile to stand out.
