Far below normal precipitation has caused a drought and increased fire danger levels. All of Connecticut is currently in a Stage 2 Drought Advisory. Residents are encouraged to be mindful of water consumption and use extra caution to prevent fires. An emergency burn ban remains in effect at all state parks, forests, and wildlife management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, campfires, etc.

The Federal Government has reopened COVIDtests.gov. Every household can order four over-the-counter COVID-19 tests for free. These tests are intended for use throughout the 2024 holiday season to detect currently circulating COVID-19 variants. Please visit COVIDtests.gov for your free test.

Phlebotomists are not licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health; however, employers may require that individuals be certified by one of the following organizations:
