Who can be a State Poet Laureate?
We are not currently accepting State Poet Laureate nominations or applications.
A State Poet Laureate nominee or applicant is:
- A full-time Connecticut resident (for at least the past five years prior to the nomination deadline)
- Recognized by peers and audience as an accomplished poet with a body of published or unpublished original work
- Available to travel throughout Connecticut and give presentations
