AG Jepsen, DCP: Conn. Joins $13.5 Million Multistate Settlement with Boehringer Ingelheim
Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull today announced that Connecticut is joining with 49 other states and the District of Columbia in a $13.5 million settlement with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. to resolve allegations that it engaged in off-label marketing and made deceptive and misleading representations in its promotion of four prescription drugs.

State-Federal Settlement Reached with Opioid Treatment Provider to Resolve Medicaid Overpayment Claim Allegations
A Connecticut healthcare organization and its chief executive officer have reached an $883,859 settlement with the state of Connecticut and the federal government to resolve allegations that the company submitted improper claims for payment to Connecticut's Medicaid program, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Department of Social Services (DSS) Commissioner Roderick L. Bremby said today.

AG Jepsen Leads Coalition in New, Expanded Complaint in Federal Generic Drug Antitrust Lawsuit
Attorney General George Jepsen today led 45 other attorneys general taking part in a wide-ranging multistate antitrust investigation of the generic drug industry in asking the federal court for permission to file a new complaint in the states' pending lawsuit that increases the number of generic drug manufacturer defendants from six to 18 in the case and the number of drugs at issue in the litigation from two to 15.

Bremby today announced that the state has filed a False Claims Act lawsuit against a Fairfield dentist alleging that he engaged in a long-term, pervasive scheme to defraud the state's Medicaid program.
