- BRIDGE CT (Building Resilience Independence Dignity Growth and Empowerment), an innovative initiative led by Connecticut’s Department of Aging and Disability Services, is aimed at supporting children and youth with disabilities in achieving independent living, self-advocacy, and competitive integrated employment within Connecticut’s growing career pathways.
- Business Enterprise Program - Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind: This program teaches people who are blind how to manage a small business. It lets them manage food service and gift store businesses at public facilities.
- CT Pathways to Integrated Employment (CT-PIE): This program is an initiative in Connecticut that helps eligible youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities find employment, working side-by-side with people of all abilities and earning competitive wages and benefits.
- Customized Employment (CE): This program is a way to find employment that matches the strengths, skills, and abilities of individuals with significant disabilities with the needs of employers.
- Employment Program for Older Adults: This program helps low-income adults, 55 and older, to re-enter the job market. Participants are placed in short-term, subsidized training jobs. They gain important work experience and training for better jobs.
- Ticket to Work: This program helps people ages 18-64 who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and are thinking about working, looking for work, or are currently working and want to increase earnings.
- Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) - Rehabilitation Services: This program helps people with disabilities prepare for getting a job. It also helps them find the right job and be successful.
- Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) - Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind: This program helps people who are legally blind prepare for the workplace. It also helps them find employment and be successful.
- Youth-targeted program, Level-Up: This program is specifically designed for younger adults 16-22. This program offers valuable work-based learning experiences, guidance on college and postsecondary options, and essential workplace readiness training. The program emphasizes self-advocacy skills and assists participants in transitioning smoothly to adult Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services.
