Social Security's Ticket to Work (Ticket) Program supports career development for people ages 18 through 64 who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits and want to work. The Ticket Program is free and voluntary. It helps people with disabilities move toward financial independence and connects them with the services and support they need to succeed in the workforce.
Connect with free employment services through an Employment Network or through CT’s vocational rehabilitation (VR) programs through BRS or BESB. Services are individualized based on your specific employment goals and the services you need to reach your goal. Services may include:
• Counseling and guidance
• Resume writing and interview preparedness
• Job exploration
• Job shadowing
• Job placement
• Job coaching
• Benefits counseling
• On the job training or other skills training
• Assistive technology and assistance with job accommodations
