  PURA today announces the launch of a webinar series, in partnership with the state’s electric utilities, as well as additional resources to support the rollout of the statewide Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program.

• PURA Seeks Input on Management Audits

  Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is seeking public input on the scope of management audits that the Authority has initiated. The Authority will be auditing the management and operations of the three Avangrid companies in Connecticut (United Illuminating, Southern Connecticut Gas, and Connecticut Natural Gas) and has developed a draft Audit Workplan for the audits.

• Revised Electric Standard Service Generation Rates to Take Effect July 1

  The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is advising Eversource Energy and United Illuminating residential and business customers of revised standard service generation rates that become effective July 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022.

  In accordance with Governor Ned Lamont’s proclamation that April is officially ‘Call Before You Dig Month,’ PURA is reminding homeowners, commercial excavators and utility operators about the importance of digging safely by visiting www.cbyd.com or calling “8-1-1” before you dig.

• PURA Approves Settlement Agreement with Third-Party Electric Supplier Over Alleged Marketing Violations

  Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) today approved a settlement agreement negotiated by state officials that requires Clearview Electric Inc. (Clearview or Company) to pay $500,000, voluntarily withdraw from the Connecticut electric supplier market for six years and reimburse certain customers in resolution of claims that the Company violated electric supplier marketing laws.

• FCC Confirms PURA Commissioner Caron to Advisory Board

  The Federal Communications Commission has unanimously appointed Michael Caron, Commissioner of the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA), to the Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service.

• PURA Extends COVID-19 Payment Program Enrollment Date

• PURA Extends Coronavirus Payment Program Enrollment Date Through February 9 2021

  Connecticut’s Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is reminding all customers that the enrollment period for the COVID-19 Payment Program for both residential and non-residential customers is extended through at least February 9, 2021. Further, the Winter Protection Program, which protects eligible households against heat source shut-offs during the winter months, is also in effect from November 1, 2020 through May 1, 2021.
