NOTICE:

Connecticut passed new legislation requiring DSS to spread out SNAP benefit issuance dates throughout the month rather than concentrating them in the first few days. Read up on the changes that start March 1.

DSS benefits have changed due to the federal budget reconciliation bill (H.R.1). Find out how it will impact you on our website, which answers questions about work requirements and exemptions for SNAP and HUSKY (Medicaid).

Apply

You can apply for these benefits by completing a state application form. This form can be done online, mailed, or dropped off at a local DSS Regional Office. For a list of local offices, please follow this link.  You can also authorize someone else to do the application paperwork for you.

To apply online, please visit www.connect.ct.gov, under ‘Apply for Benefits.’

If you wish to apply for Medicare Savings Plan ONLY, please complete application titled “Medicare Savings Programs Application/Redetermination” below:
