**DSS Resource Centers are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

**Benefits Center phones (1-855-626-6632) are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, due to recently experienced excessive call volume, we will only be able to honor these hours while our capacity is able to meet the call demand. Response time at our telephone Benefits Center is currently longer than usual.  Thank you for your patience.

Please consider using self-service options which is available **24/7 such as the MyDSS mobile-friendly app: www.ct.gov/mydss; or online MyAccount www.connect.ct.gov; or 1-855-626-6632 for automated client information line.  Opening an online MyAccount lets you obtain forms, upload documents, access benefit information, view and download proof of benefits (budget sheets), renew, and apply for benefits.

**MyDSS www.ct.gov/mydss is easy to navigate across devices with multiple self-service options.  You’ll find there is less time spent using the phone to talk with the Benefits Center, and less need for in-person trips to an office to access information about benefit status or details of your case.

** Services provided in the office - The following services are available:  Eligibility Interviews; pick-up of applications/forms; filling out applications/forms on-site; general information; questions & answers; and picking up of mail, EBT cards & income verifications. 

**In-Person Interview - If an in-person interview is required, you can make an appointment. An appointment can be made by calling the Benefits Center at 1-855-626-6632 to speak to an Eligibility Services Worker.

**Dropping off Documents -   Outside drop-boxes are available or use the pre-paid business reply envelope to mail your documents directly to the DSS Scanning Center at PO Box 1320, Manchester, CT 06045.

Please allow DSS 10 days to review and process any documents submitted before contacting us.

What is VRI?

DSS’s Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is the on-demand service that provides communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing persons and hearing persons that are in the same location, utilizing an interpreter by way of a computer with a webcam and Internet connection or a tablet using a cellular connection.
