May 13, 2022: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention listed six Connecticut Counties in the High/Orange category as part of its COVID-19 Community Levels Map. Only Fairfield and New London Counties are listed in the Medium/Yellow category. Residents in these counties should wear a mask indoors in public; stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and get tested if they have symptoms. Licensure Based on a Certificate of Professional Qualification Issued by the ASPPB

Before applying for licensure, please familiarize yourself with the general licensing policies.

 

The Department may issue a license to any applicant who is a currently practicing, competent practitioner in another state and holds a current Certificate of Professional Qualification (CPQ) from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).

 

Documentation Requirements

 

Verification of all licenses held, current or expired.  The verification of licensure form must be forwarded to the appropriate authority in any U.S. state or territory in which the applicant is or has ever been licensed as a psychologist.  Most jurisdictions charge a fee for completion of the verification form.  Please contact the jurisdiction for fee information;

 

Official verification of the award of the Certificate of Professional Qualification.  Please arrange for the AASPB to send verification directly to this office;
