Tuesday: Gov. Malloy Signs Bill on Nursing Home Patients’ Rights
On Tuesday at noon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a bill signing ceremony in East Hartford for legislation (Public Act 13-70) that requires nursing home administrators to ensure that all nursing home staff receive in-service training, which must include a discussion on patients’ rights to file complaints and voice grievances, and ways to prevent and alleviate patients’ fear of retaliation.
