Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced today that Connecticut is back on the map. Discover New England, the official tourism website for New England, had removed Connecticut from its map, marketing materials, and efforts because the state failed to pay its dues to the organization.

Governor Malloy on Tomorrow's Storm Take It Slow
Governor Dannel P. Malloy tonight spoke with key commissioners in advance of the storm coming to the state early tomorrow morning, which is expected to bring a mix of snow, sleet, ice and rain. At this time, forecasts indicate a slow commute in the morning, with possible snow accumulation mixed with rain and ice.

Governor Malloy State Receives $36M in Additional Heating Assistance Funds

Gov. Malloy Non-Essential State Employees Should Not Report to Work Today Due to Snowstorm Evening Shift Employees Should Report on Schedule
At 9:11 p.m. last night, Governor Malloy declared a civil preparedness emergency and as of 6:00 a.m. this morning has directed that non-essential state employees should not report to work today, Wednesday, January 12.

Gov. Malloy Signs Declaration of Civil Preparedness Emergency All Non-Essential State Workers Should Not Report Until 12 P.M. at the Earliest
At 9:11 p.m. this evening, Governor Dannel P. Malloy signed a Declaration of Civil Preparedness Emergency, in advance of the impending snow storm which is expected to drop between 15 and 23 inches of snow across the state. In addition, Governor Malloy ordered all non-essential state employees to report to work no earlier than 12 p.m. on Wednesday.

Governor Malloy Receives Final Reports from Policy Working Groups
The twelve policy working groups put together by the Malloy transition team met with Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman and the entire steering committee today to give their final reports, a culmination of the work begun in early December to ensure the policy-making process was reflective of the many voices in the state. The Governor will review the reports and will take them under advisement.
