GOVERNOR MALLOY: FLAGS FLOWN AT HALF-STAFF AS SIGN OF RESPECT FOR VICTIMS OF SHOOTING IN TUCSON, ARIZONA
(HARTFORD, CT) -- Earlier today, President Barack Obama issued a proclamation directing that the flag of the United States be flown at half-staff "as a mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on Saturday, January 8, 2011, in Tucson, Arizona." Governor Dannel P. Malloy has directed Connecticut flags to follow suit, flying at half-staff until sunset on Friday, January 14, 2011.
