Biden, Jr. directing flags to be lowered throughout the country as a mark of solemn respect for United States Capitol Police Officer William F. Evans, who was killed in the line of duty Friday while defending the U.S. Capitol – he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to fly at half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

Governor Ned Lamont and the governors of six other states today issued a letter asking President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. to support repealing the cap on state and local tax deductions implemented by the Trump administration as part of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act in 2017.
