Governor Lamont Extends Severe Cold Weather Protocol Through Friday Afternoon
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to an updated weather forecast indicating that the current stretch of frigid conditions Connecticut is experiencing will continue for at least another day, he is extending the duration of the state's severe cold weather protocol to remain in effect until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025.

Governor Lamont Activates Connecticut’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol Effective Monday Evening
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a period of particularly frigid conditions over the next several days, he is directing the state's severe cold weather protocol to go into effect beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, and remaining in effect through 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that pursuant to federal law, he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut lowered to half-staff effective immediately until sunset on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in honor of the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter, who passed away this afternoon in Plains, Georgia.

Fifty Years of Hartford Hockey Milestone Celebration Announced
