Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he has signed into law legislation overwhelmingly approved by the Connecticut General Assembly (Public Act 25-80) that increases penalties and fines against individuals who participate in, organize, or spectate a street takeover, and provides police with more tools to combat these reckless situations.

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a multi-day stretch of exceptionally hot and humid conditions, he is directing Connecticut's Extreme Hot Weather Protocol to be activated effective at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, and remaining in effect through at least 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

Governor Lamont Announces State Grants for Assessment and Remediation of 23 Blighted Properties
Governor Ned Lamont announced today that he is releasing $18.8 million in state grants that will be used for the assessment and remediation of 227 acres of contaminated land across Connecticut. The funding will support 23 properties in 19 towns and cities, helping cover the costs of cleaning up these parcels so they can be redeveloped and returned to productive use.
