Quality Metrics
Quality metrics are one of the most important aspects of the maternity bundle design, as the quality metrics are how HUSKY measures maternity outcomes, quality of care, and health disparities. Quality metrics also influence financial aspects of the model for providers, giving providers an extra incentive to provide high-quality care.
DSS determined the Year 1 quality metrics with input from the Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), Maternity Bundle Advisory Council stakeholders, and HUSKY Health providers. Please see below for the program's 10 quality measure specifications; measure code sets can be found in the Appendix section, though please note that the code sets may be subject to change on an annual basis.
