Rumble Strip Installation: Wallingford, North Haven, and Hamden

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a rumble strip installation project will be performed on Route 15 northbound in Wallingford and southbound in North Haven and Hamden from Wednesday evening, November 29 through the morning of Friday, December 1, 2023. The project consists of 30,729 linear feet of rumble strip installation on Route 15 northbound in Wallingford and 31,733 linear feet of rumble strip installation on Route 15 southbound in North Haven and Hamden. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO 

Motorists can expect right lane closures on Route 15 northbound in Wallingford from 0.5 miles before the North Haven/Wallingford town line to the Wallingford/Meriden town line and Route 15 southbound in North Haven and Hamden from 0.5 miles before the Wallingford/North Haven town line to the Exit 60 on-ramp. Traffic control personnel and sign patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.

The night work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Wednesday night through Friday morning. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
