The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a resurfacing project will be performed on I-395 northbound and southbound in Thompson beginning Sunday, May 2, 2020.
The project consists of resurfacing a 6.91 mile segment of I-395 northbound and southbound in Thompson. Work is scheduled to start on Saturday, May 2, 2020, through Saturday, August 8, 2020. No work will be performed on May 24, 25 and 26, 2020, due to the Memorial Day holiday and July 2, 3 and 4, 2020, due to the July 4th holiday.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on I-395 northbound and southbound from the Putnam Town Line to the Massachusetts State Line. Two (2) state troopers, crash attenuator vehicles, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Sunday – Saturday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
