Two In-Person Visit per week are allowed.
One Video Visit per week is also allowed.
A total of three visitors are allowed for both In-person and Video visits.
Video visits must be pre-scheduled and a visiting Request Form must be completed:

Visits are scheduled according to the inmates housing location. If an inmate moves to another housing location, the visit will be cancelled and needs to be rescheduled. It is the inmate’s responsibility to notify the visitor that their visit will need to be rescheduled.
Any individual who attempts to visit a facility will not be accommodated.

General Information:
The Carl Robinson Correctional Institution is a level 3 medium-security facility. It houses sentenced offenders and provides a great emphasis on programming and education.
The Robinson Correctional Institution offers a wide assortment of programming for inmates including intensive in-patient substance abuse treatment and a full menu of educational and vocational programming including culinary arts, machine tooling, small engine repair and community college courses.
The facility participates in the Town of Enfield Adopt A Spot program, provides community service to several towns and assists several municipal and non-profit agencies in printing flyers and related material.

The facility is named after Carl Robinson, who served as warden of the Somers State Prison from 1972-1983, and was the first African American warden appointed in Connecticut. He also served as superintendent of the Cheshire Reformatory.

History:
The Robinson Correctional Institution was opened on November 8, 1985. It is situated on the site of an historic Shaker farm community, which dates from 1792.
In January of 1990, with the implementation of a new Inmate Objective Classification System, the institution's security level was changed to medium-security.
In 1996, Building 7 was turned over to the Judicial Department for use as a juvenile facility.
In 1997, jurisdiction of Building 7 is returned to the facility and re-opened as a housing unit for 71 outside clearance inmates. It was again closed in 2008.
