BANK ACTIVITY

Branch Activity

On May 22, 2025, Liberty Bank (Middletown, CT), filed notices pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 36a-145(f) of the closing of three full-service branches located at :

  • 445 W. Main Street, Branford, CT
  • 1009 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, CT
  • 116 Bridge Road, Haddam, CT

The proposed closing of the three branches is set for November of 2025.

On May 23, 2025, the Commissioner approved an application by Northpointe Bank, a Michigan state-chartered bank, to establish a loan production office pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 36a-412(d). The location of the office will be at 222 Old Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook, CT. The proposed opening of the office is scheduled for around May 30, 2025.

STATE CREDIT UNION ACTIVITY

Main Office Activity

On May 23, 2025, the Commissioner approved the application by New Haven Firefighters Credit Union to relocate its main office from 350 Ferry Street, New Haven, CT to 7 Elm Street, New Haven, CT pursuant to Section 36a-463b of the Connecticut General Statutes. The anticipated target date for this relocation is June 1, 2025.
