Notice to Creditors
On March 4, 2022, pursuant to Section 36a-210(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes, UPS Capital Business Credit (“UPSCBC”), a Connecticut uninsured bank, filed a notice to creditors in The Hartford Courant in connection with the proposed voluntary liquidation and dissolution of UPSCBC in accordance with Section 36a-210(a)(3). Merger
On February 28, 2022, America’s First Network Credit Union, a Connecticut credit union, and Stamford Postal Employees Federal Credit Union, a federal credit union, filed an application pursuant to Section 36a-468a of the Connecticut General Statutes seeking approval for the merger of Stamford Postal Employees Federal Credit Union with and into America’s First Network Credit Union. In connection with the application, America’s First Network Credit Union is proposing to expand its field of membership to include the select employee groups that make up Stamford Postal Employees Federal Credit Union’s field of membership.
CONSUMER CREDIT DIVISION ACTIVITY
Consent Order
On February 28, 2022, the Commissioner entered into a Consent Order with HomeTown Lending Partners, LLC (NMLS # 171236) (“HomeTown”), Itasca, Illinois. The Consent Order was based on an investigation by the Consumer Credit Division. As a result of such investigation, the Commissioner alleged that HomeTown failed to file with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry a change of the address of its main office at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to such change and, in connection with such change, failed to provide a bond rider or endorsement, or addendum, as applicable, to the surety bond on file with the Commissioner, in violation of Section 36a-490(b)(2) of the Connecticut General Statutes. As part of the Consent Order, HomeTown paid $500 as a civil penalty.
