Written comments will be considered only if they are received within ten days from the date of this bulletin.
On January 16, 2004, Salisbury Bancorp, Inc., a Connecticut corporation, filed an acquisition statement, pursuant to Section 36a-184 of the Connecticut General Statutes, for the acquisition of Canaan National Bancorp, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and the indirect acquisition of its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Canaan National Bank, a national bank with its main office located in Canaan, Connecticut. In conjunction with this transaction, Salisbury Bancorp, Inc.’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Salisbury Bank and Trust Company, a Connecticut bank, filed an application pursuant to Section 36a-126(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes for the subsequent merger of The Canaan National Bank with and into Salisbury Bank and Trust Company.
MONEY TRANSMITTER LICENSE ACTIVITY
On January 16, 2004, pursuant to Section 36a-600 of the Connecticut General Statutes, Socatransfer New York Inc. d/b/a Socatransfer, Brooklyn, New York, filed an application to engage in the business of money transmission.
