NEW BANK ACTIVITY

On November 18, 2002, pursuant to Section 36a-70 of the Connecticut General Statutes, as amended by Public Acts 02-47, 02-89 and 02-21, a Final Certificate of Authority was issued to Connecticut River Community Bank, 1142 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield, Connecticut. The bank opened for business on November 18, 2002.

ACQUISITION

On November 18, 2002, pursuant to Section 36a-185 of the Connecticut General Statutes, the Commissioner issued a notice of intent not to disapprove the acquisition by Gordon Gund - Grant Gund Trust and Gordon Gund - G. Zachary Gund Trust of more than 10 percent but less than 25 percent of the voting securities of Connecticut River Community Bank.

CHECK CASHING SERVICE LICENSE ACTIVITY

On November 19, 2002, pursuant to Section 36a-581 of the Connecticut General Statutes, Ace Cash Express, Inc. received approval to operate check cashing service general facilities at the following locations: 593 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, and 90 E. Main Street, New Britain, both in Connecticut.
