Written comments will be considered only if they are received within ten days from the date of this bulletin.

BRANCH ACTIVITY
Section 36a-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes requires that each application for a branch, or for a limited branch at which loans will be made, be accompanied by a plan detailing how adequate services to meet the banking needs of all community residents will be provided. Plans are submitted when such applications are filed and are available for public inspection and comment at this Department for a period of 30 days. Questions concerning branch activity should be directed to the Bank Examination Division, (860) 240-8180.

CHECK CASHING SERVICE LICENSE ACTIVITY
On May 14, 2001, Ace Cash Express, Inc. surrendered its licenses to operate check cashing service general facilities at the following locations: 649 West Main Street, Waterbury; 376 Whalley Avenue, New Haven; 593 Farmington Avenue, #F, Hartford; 90 E. Main Street, New Britain; and 21-A100 Hawley Lane Mall, Trumbull; all in Connecticut.
CREDIT UNION DIVISION ACTIVITY
Field of Membership
On May 11, 2001, pursuant to the provisions of Sections 36a-437(g) and (h) of the Connecticut General Statutes, St. Raphael Healthcare Credit Union, Inc., New Haven, requested approval to amend its bylaws and certificate of organization to change its field of membership to consist of all persons who live or work in New Haven County in the State of Connecticut and to change its name to New Haven County Credit Union, Inc.
DE NOVO BRANCH
On May 17, 2001, Bank of America, N.A., a national banking association with its main office located in Charlotte, North Carolina, filed an application pursuant to Section 36a-412(a)(2) of the Connecticut General Statutes, to establish a de novo limited branch at 2 Soundview Drive, Greenwich, Connecticut.
