STATE BANK ACTIVITY
Branch Activity
Section 36a-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes requires that each application for a branch, or for a limited branch at which loans will be made, be accompanied by a plan detailing how adequate services to meet the banking needs of all community residents will be provided. Plans are submitted when such applications are filed and are available for public inspection and comment at this Department for a period of 30 days. Questions concerning branch activity should be directed to the Bank Examination Division, (860) 240-8180.

CREDIT UNION ACTIVITY
On September 21, 2000, pursuant to Section 36a-437(g) of the Connecticut General Statutes, Connecticut State Employees Credit Union, Inc. was granted approval to amend its certificate of organization to change its subsidiary office location from 121 North Eagleville Road, Storrs, Connecticut to 1244 Storrs Road, Route 195, Storrs, Connecticut.
On September 29, 2000, pursuant to Section 36a-470 of the Connecticut General Statutes, approval was granted to Olin Employees Credit Union, Inc., Norwalk, Connecticut to merge with and into Mutual Security Federal Credit Union, Wilton, Connecticut.
SECTION 36a-425 APPROVAL
On September 28, 2000, approval was granted to The Prudential Insurance Company of America, a New Jersey corporation, to establish offices of its subsidiary, Prudential Securities Incorporated, a Delaware corporation, at the following locations: Lee Farm Corporate Park, 83 Wooster Heights Road, Danbury; CityPlace II, Concourse Level, 185 Asylum Street, Hartford; 157 Church Street, 11th Floor, New Haven; 210 Main Street, Building 1, Suite 2, Old Saybrook; 35 37 Danbury Road, Ridgefield; 177 Broad Street, 11th Floor, Stamford; and One Morningside Drive, Westport, Connecticut.
ACQUISITION
On September 28, 2000, pursuant to Section 36a-184 of the Connecticut General Statutes, ING Groep N.V., a holding company incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands, filed an acquisition statement for the acquisition of Aetna Inc., and indirectly, Aeltus Trust Company, a Connecticut bank organized to function solely in a fiduciary capacity.
