Branch Activity
Section 36a-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes requires that each application for a branch, or for a limited branch at which loans will be made, be accompanied by a plan detailing how adequate services to meet the banking needs of all community residents will be provided. Plans are submitted when such applications are filed and are available for public inspection and comment at this Department for a period of 30 days. Questions concerning branch activity should be directed to the Bank Examination Division, (860) 240-8180.

ACQUISITION
On June 3, 1999, pursuant to Section 36a-412(a)(1) of the Connecticut General Statutes, Hudson United Bank filed an application to acquire a significant part of the assets of Advest Bank and Trust Company.
SECTION 36a-425 APPLICATIONS
On May 28, 1999, in connection with the acquisition by Fleet Financial Group, Inc., a Rhode Island corporation, of 100% of the voting shares of BankBoston Corporation, Boston, Massachusetts, and the indirect acquisition of BancBoston Leasing, Inc., a Massachusetts corporation, and Colbank Properties Ltd., a Connecticut corporation, applications were filed by Fleet Financial Group, Inc., to establish offices of BancBoston Leasing, Inc., at 100 Mill Plain Road, Danbury, and One Landmark Square, Suite 2002, Stamford, Connecticut; and Colbank Properties Ltd., at 81 West Main Street, Waterbury, Connecticut, upon consummation of the acquisition.
