For seniors and WIC participants

Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)

The FMNP provides eligible WIC participants and qualifying seniors with coupons to buy local produce at participating farmers' markets.

Farm-to-School Program

The Farm-to-School Program aims to bring CT-grown food and nutrition education into schools.

For farms, businesses, and nonprofits

DoAg supports organizations with grants, marketing resources, and business and land development opportunities. We work hand-in-hand with nonprofit organizations to increase fresh food access, community gardens, and nutrition education across CT.

For pet owners and animal welfare

Animal Population Control Program (APCP)

The APCP may provide spay/ neuter/ vaccination vouchers for low-income pet owners, or those adopting from a municipal pound.

Animal Control Unit (ACU)

The ACU is responsible for investigating and making arrests on complaints of animal cruelty.
They also provide advocacy, rehabilitation, and more for Connecticut pets and animals.

Feral Cat Grant Program

The Feral Cat Grant Program assists nonprofit rescue groups with the sterilization and vaccination of feral cats.

Rabies control

By law, all dogs over six months must be licensed and vaccinated against rabies.
