Construction and Operation of a Commercial Facility for the Management of Recyclable Materials and Certain Solid Wastes "Commercial GP" Note: Pursuant to section 22a-6aa of the Connecticut General Statutes, the General Permit for the Construction and Operation of a Commercial Facility for the Management of Recyclable Materials and Certain Solid Wastes (Commercial GP) will continue in effect until July 26, 2028, or until the Commissioner makes a final decision on the reissuance of the General Permit. If reissued, the general permit will require registration for authorization to construct and operate a facility under the general permit, including registration for existing permittees to allow for continued operations. |

| The General Permit for Contaminated Soil and/or Sediment Management (Staging and Transfer) expired on September 19, 2018. As a result, DEEP is unable to issue registrations and approval of registrations for the activities authorized by the general permit. DEEP is in the process of updating this general permit and anticipates its reissuance. In the interim, anyone managing contaminated soil or sediment is requested to follow the best management practices that are outlined in Section 5 of the now expired general permit. | ||||||

DEEP is in the process of updating this general permit and anticipates its reissuance. In the interim, previously permitted facilities managing scrap tires are requested to follow the best management practices that are outlined in Section 5 of the now expired general permit. For those that were not previously registered at the time the general permit expired they are not authorized to conduct such regulated activities. |
