Two new queries are now available in the Asset Management WorkCenter to assist agencies with the CO-648B Summary Motor Vehicle Report. They can be accessed under Queries > Asset Queries.
The new queries are:
• Vehicle Subtype Counts – Provides summary counts of vehicle assets by Subtype.
• Vehicle Subtype Full Detail – Provides detailed asset-level information, including Asset ID, Tag Number, Description, Vehicle Subtype, and whether the asset is Capital or Non-Capital (Controllable)
A valid month-end date must be selected from a closed accounting period. For Fiscal Year End reporting, use 6/30/20xx (e.g., 6/30/2026 for FY26). FY26 reports will not be fully available until 7/13/2026.

To ensure accurate reporting results, agencies should only populate the Subtype field for reportable vehicles. Assigning Subtypes to vehicle components or upgrades, non-vehicle assets, or other asset records may result in overstated counts.
These queries are provided as an assistive reporting tool only and do not replace agency responsibility for CO-648B reporting requirements. Agencies are responsible for ensuring accuracy at the individual asset level, including verification of asset data and submission of final CO-648B reports.
