“Manufacturer hemp product” means a commodity manufactured from the hemp plant, for commercial or research purposes, that is intended for human ingestion, inhalation, absorption or other internal consumption.

The Department of Consumer Protection has published new laboratory testing standards for hemp products manufactured in the state for human consumption. These new testing requirements become effective February 22, 2024 and are mandated by Public Act 23-79.
