CONSUMER CREDIT DIVISION ACTIVITY
Consent Orders
On September 8, 2016, the Commissioner entered into a Consent Order with American Neighborhood Mortgage Acceptance Company LLC d/b/a AnnieMac Home Mortgage (NMLS # 338923) (“American Neighborhood”), Mount Laurel, New Jersey.  The Consent Order was based on an investigation by the Consumer Credit Division.  As a result of such investigation, the Commissioner alleged that from January 2015 to March 2016, American Neighborhood acted as a mortgage servicer while neither licensed nor exempt from licensure, in violation of Section 36a-718 of the 2016 Supplement to the General Statutes.  To resolve the matter alleged, American Neighborhood provided the supplemental mortgage servicer surety bond, fidelity bond and errors and omissions coverage required pursuant to Section 36a-719c of the 2016 Supplement to the General Statutes and paid a civil penalty of $10,000.
On September 8, 2016, the Commissioner entered into a Consent Order with Hartford Community Loan Fund, Inc. (NMLS # 68365) (“Hartford Community Loan Fund”), Hartford, Connecticut.  The Consent Order was based on an investigation by the Consumer Credit Division.  As a result of such investigation, the Commissioner alleged that Hartford Community Loan Fund failed to file with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry a change of address of its main office at least 30 calendar days prior to such change and failed to provide a bond rider or endorsement, or addendum, as applicable, to the surety bond on file with the Commissioner that reflects the address of the main office, in violation of Section 36a 490(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes.  As part of the Consent Order, Hartford Community Loan Fund paid a civil penalty of $500.
On September 9, 2016, the Commissioner entered into a Consent Order with Americay Mortgage Corporation (NMLS # 1155) (“Americay Mortgage”), Vernon, Connecticut.  The Consent Order was based on an investigation by the Consumer Credit Division.  As a result of such investigation, the Commissioner alleged that Americay Mortgage failed to file certain annual information required by mortgage call reports, in violation of Section 36a-534b(c)(3) of the Connecticut General Statutes and in violation two prior orders of the Commissioner.  As part of the Consent Order, Americay Mortgage is required to adhere to a compliance plan and to file timely, accurate and complete MCRs.
