CONSUMER CREDIT DIVISION ACTIVITY
Settlement Agreement
On August 31, 2007, the Commissioner entered into a Settlement Agreement with Prime Mortgage Financial, Inc. D/B/A Prime Mortgage Company (“Prime Mortgage”).  The Settlement Agreement was based on an examination by the Consumer Credit Division.  As a result of such examination, the Commissioner alleged that Prime Mortgage employed or retained at least thirteen originators without first registering them, in violation of Sections 36a-486(b) and 36a-511(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes.  Pursuant to the Settlement Agreement, Prime Mortgage agreed to remit to the Department $13,000 as a civil penalty.
