Municipal Recycling Resource Center

As the recycling and waste management leader in your community, we want you to have access to important information, useful tools and resources that are easy to find.  This page is a gateway to materials management information pertinent to municipalities.  The DEEP seeks to ensure that up-to-date recycling information is available to the public.  If you are a public official, please take a moment to review and update the information we have about your town on our Municipal Recycling Coordinator and E-waste Drop-Off web pages. We expect you to be in compliance with CT's solid waste laws and Comprehensive Materials Management Strategy (CMMS) requirements. The Department's top priority programs as outlined in CMMS include:

  1. What's IN, What's OUT (WIWO)
  2. Save Money and Reduce Trash (SMART)
  3. Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
