Howard E. Daniels of Essex, Joseph P. Trantino of West Hartford, William C. Buell of Madison, and David S. Kendle of Clinton were posthumously awarded the Connecticut Veteran Wartime Service Medal before being interred at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
