Monday: Gov. Malloy Signs Legislation Encouraging the Increase of Connecticut Exports into Foreign Markets and Growth of Local Businesses
On Monday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will hold a bill signing ceremony at Test Logic, a small business located in Middletown, where he will sign legislation (Public Act 13-56) that allows the state to prioritize economic assistance to certain businesses that are pursuing global commerce and will help get more Connecticut products into foreign markets.

Gov. Malloy’s Sandy Hook Advisory Commission Continues Discussions Friday on Public Safety and School Security

Malloy today announced that the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission is next scheduled to meet on Friday, July 12, at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford, where they will review new state laws that were approved from the recently adjourned legislative session, followed by a presentation on school security from the president of the National School Safety and Security Services.

Gov. Malloy: Connecticut Department on Aging Will Better Serve State's Growing Senior Population
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, state Department on Aging (SDA) Commissioner Edith Prague and members of the General Assembly's Aging Committee, held a ceremonial bill signing today for Public Act 13-125, An Act Concerning the Department on Aging. The legislation fully establishes SDA which was statutorily created on January 1, 2013 and will ensure that Connecticut's seniors have access to the supportive services necessary to live with dignity, security, and independence.
