NOTICE:

Federal shutdown information: The Department of Social Services has received notice from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services that if the federal government shutdown continues into November, there will not be enough funds to pay November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) benefits.

We will continue to add information on this site as the federal guidance changes or program operations are affected.

The federal government shutdown will have no impact on your SNAP, Medicaid, or Cash benefits for the current month.

Learn about potential changes to DSS benefits due to the federal budget reconciliation bill (H.R.1) in our article, What will change with DSS benefits following the passing of federal H.R.1?
