Free Interpreter Services Available for DSS Clients
Do you prefer a language other than English? The Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) offers free interpreter services to help you understand your benefits and communicate with staff.
Interpreters are available by phone, video, or in person for appointments, interviews, and calls. These services can help you complete forms, understand notices, and ask questions about your case. Interpreter services are always private and provided at no cost.
You can ask for language help at any time. Simply tell DSS staff your preferred language when you call, visit an office, or schedule an appointment.
