FFY25 LIHEAP Allocation Plan

Connecticut Plan for the Federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program for Federal Fiscal Year 2025:

On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the legislative committees of cognizance approved the FFY 2025 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Allocation plan for the LIHEAP block grant.

The Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) is designed to help offset the winter heating costs of Connecticut's lower-income households, specifically those households whose income falls at or below 60 percent of the state median income.

CEAP is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Block Grant. The Department of Social Services, with the help of its partners, Community Action Agencies (CAA), administers CEAP.
