The State of Connecticut Department of Social Services Aging Services Division developed the Grandparents as Parents Support network (GAPS) to provide assistance in establishing grandparent support groups for grandparents and relatives raising children. Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services was created by the Connecticut Legislature in 1974 to advocate, strengthen and implement state policies affecting Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and their relationship to the public, industry, health care, and educational opportunities. As of July 1, 2011, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services is involved in an agency consolidation with the Department of Rehabilitation Services.
