Far below normal precipitation has caused a drought and increased fire danger levels. All of Connecticut is currently in a Stage 2 Drought Advisory. The Federal Government has reopened COVIDtests.gov. Every household can order four over-the-counter COVID-19 tests for free. These tests are intended for use throughout the 2024 holiday season to detect currently circulating COVID-19 variants. Please visit COVIDtests.gov for your free test.

Governor Lamont issued Executive Order 7DD modifying Section 20-162q(c) of the Connecticut General Statutes to allow a respiratory care therapist student or respiratory care technician student as specified in the statute to provide services in accordance with the requirements in the statute except that the services are not required to be a component of the student's course of study.
