From Hartford I-91 South:
Take exit 1 (34 west, downtown New Haven) and follow to exit 3 (route 34 west). Follow route 34 west to fifth traffic light turning right onto Orchard Street. Take a left at Whalley Avenue and then take the first right (County Street). New Haven Correctional Center is behind the juvenile facility on Whalley Avenue.
From Bridgeport, I-95 North:
Take exit 47 (downtown New Haven, a left hand exit). Follow to exit 3 (route 34 west). Then follow route 34 west to fifth traffic light (Orchard Street).
