BANK ACTIVITY
Order for Hearing
A hearing will be held on the application of One Forty Bank. to organize One Forty Bank, headquartered in Fairfield County, as a Connecticut innovation bank pursuant to Section 36a-70(t) of the Connecticut General Statutes. The hearing will take place on June 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Department of Banking, 280 Trumbull Street, 16th Floor, Hartford, Connecticut, via videoconference, and via teleconference (860) 840-2075, Conference ID: 447 925 339#.
CREDIT UNION ACTIVITY
Conversion
On May 22, 2026, Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union, a Connecticut credit union headquartered in Rocky Hill, filed an application pursuant to section 36a-468b of the Connecticut General Statutes to convert into a federal credit union. The proposed target date for this conversion is in the third quarter of 2026.
CONSUMER CREDIT DIVISION ACTIVITY
ML Enterprise Inc. d/b/a Engine by MoneyLion d/b/a https://fiona.com/ f/k/a EVEN FINANCIAL INC.
On May 20, 2026, the Commissioner entered into a Consent Order (“Consent Order”) with ML Enterprise Inc. d/b/a Engine by MoneyLion d/b/a https://fiona.com/ f/k/a EVEN FINANCIAL INC. (NMLS # 1475872), (“ML Enterprise”), New York, New York. The Consent Order was based on an investigation by the Consumer Credit Division which stemmed from an examination of a licensee. As result of such investigation, the Commissioner alleged that, before February 1, 2021, ML Enterprise brokered small loans to prospective Connecticut borrowers without the required license, in violation of Section 36a-556(a)(2) of the Connecticut General Statutes, in effect at such time. As part of the Consent Order, ML Enterprise paid $10,000 as a civil penalty.
