On January 27, 2026, pursuant to Section 36a-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes, Jewett City Savings Bank, headquartered in Jewett City, Connecticut, submitted an application to establish a full-service branch at 106 Storrs Road, Mansfield, Connecticut. The anticipated opening date is December 1, 2026.
CREDIT UNION ACTIVITY
Branch Activity
On January 29, 2026, pursuant Section 36a-462a(2)(A), Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union submitted an application to close the full-service branch located at 105 Sanford Ave, Hamden, Connecticut. The anticipated date of the closure is May 1, 2026.
On January 29, 2026, pursuant Section 36a-462a, Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union submitted an application to establish a full-service branch located at 1647 Whitney Ave, Hamden, Connecticut. The proposed opening date is May 4, 2026.
Conversion
On January 30, 2025, United Business & Industry Federal Credit Union, a federal credit union headquartered in Plainville, Connecticut, filed an application pursuant to Section 36a-469b of the Connecticut General Statues to convert into a state credit union. The proposed target date for this conversion is June 30, 2026.
