Who can nominate a singer-songwriter for State Troubadour?
Any Connecticut resident may nominate one singer-songwriter who embodies the characteristics of the State Troubadour role. Please note that people cannot nominate themselves and we do not give this award posthumously.
A Singer-Songwriter should:
- Have at least five years of composition and performance history. A singer-songwriter is an individual who writes, composes, and sings their own material including lyrics and melodies.
- Have a significant body of work they have composed, performed, and recorded. Professional studio recordings are not required.
- Can perform both music and lyrics solo without accompaniment by another individual.
How do I nominate a singer-songwriter for State Troubadour?

Our online nomination form asks for the following information. You cannot save and exit the form. Please be ready to complete the entire form in one session and submit it.
